Evergreen Landcare has over 40 years experience in hydroseeding and erosion control.
We are innovative and long-established industry leaders in environmentally sensitive operations in New Zealand.
The original pioneer of hydraulic application of grass mulches in New Zealand, Evergreen has introduced many ‘firsts’ into the land care industry - new hydroseeding and erosion control products specifically adapted to New Zealand conditions.
Evergreen Landcare’s Hydrosoil, Bioblanket, Siltstop, DustGone and Dustbond are just some of the latest technology products to be released into New Zealand. Evergreen Landcare’s success in erosion control is directly attributable to the skill, knowledge and experience of its staff.
Our Core Values
Hydroseed Units
Evergreen Landcare designed, built and introduced hydroseeding into New Zealand in 1969. Since then the units have been redesigned, modified numerous times to suit New Zealand conditions and job size. Units carry a number of hoses and nozzle types to reach inaccessible sites.
Landscape equipment
Kanga bobcats with 4 in 1 buckets, excavators and tip trucks make up the core of our landscape equipment. We also have the small tractors with level bars, rotary hoes etc to cultivate and level sites. This enables us to landscape small residential house sites right through to larger commercial sites.
Tractors and attachments
From 115hp down to 40hp to suit varying sites and conditions with landscape drills, roller drill, power harrow with precision computerised seed and fertiliser applicator, Rotodairon stone burier, mowers, maxitills, harrows and rotary hoes.
Transporters
We have large truck and trailer units with specially built hydraulic ramps. This makes our equipment mobile and efficient between sites.
Straw mulchers
4WD Tractor or Tracked 4WD tractor mounted so the driver is comfortable and safe within an air conditioned cab. Fertiliser and seed can be applied with the straw.
Mowers
From large tractor mounted, front deck self propelled, to quad bike mower. This enables us to mow subdivisions, road sides, lifestyle blocks to regular commercial maintenance.
Staff vehicles
All vehicles carry a first aid kit and fire extinguisher.

We had a large area of “paddock” which had never been sown properly when the house was built. Amongst the ten quotes we’d received Pete Low and Evergreen Landcare one stood out for being timely, efficient, highly personable and very reasonable price wise.
They were small enough to give the personal touch, while big enough to have all the necessary gear and give a confidence they could handle a job one or two others in game saw as too challenging.
The proliferation of stones were dealt with expertly with the “stone burrier”, they worked with a “whatever it takes” approach and then sowed/sprayed on the hydroseed.
To say we were stunned by the result is an understatement – no one who’d seen what was there could quite believe it, within two weeks there was a great “show” and within 5-6 weeks our kids were enjoying playing on “real grass.” It looks great and for the very modest investment has greatly improved our home.
We’d thoroughly recommend Pete and his team, nothing was too much trouble and the follow up service superb – so much so that we’ve had them back to sow another large area on the other side of the home.
